About Todd Jackson

I’m a UX-focused front-end software engineer with over 15 years of hands-on experience designing and building scalable, user-centered web applications across finance, SaaS, marketing, and internal enterprise platforms.

My specialty is translating complex business requirements into clean, intuitive, production-ready interfaces, often as the sole front-end developer working inside large, real world systems. I thrive at the intersection of UI/UX design, front-end architecture, and practical delivery, owning features from early discovery through deployment.

Technical Focus & Approach
Across my career, I’ve led and contributed to front-end development in environments using .NET Core MVC, React, Vue, Angular, and WordPress, with a strong foundation in HTML5, CSS/SASS, JavaScript, jQuery, and modern layout systems (Flexbox, Grid, Bootstrap, Tailwind).

I’m deeply experienced in:

  • Designing and implementing reusable UI component systems
  • Building complex workflows (multi-step forms, validation layers, modal systems, dashboards)
  • Integrating RESTful APIs and adapting interfaces to dynamic backend data
  • Ensuring responsive, accessible, cross-browser-compatible experiences
  • Collaborating closely with backend engineers, designers, product owners, and stakeholders
I care about clean markup, maintainable code, and thoughtful UX decisions that make systems easier to use and easier to extend over time.

Professional Experience Highlights
Most recently, I served as the sole front-end developer at Ironhorse Funding, working in a .NET Core MVC environment on a large loan and finance platform. I partnered directly with a backend engineer to design and deliver UI solutions across critical modules including customer contact management, deferments, address history, impound status, and communication preferences. In this role, I routinely translated business needs into wireframes, then into production-ready features used daily by internal teams and external customers.

Previously at Car Capital Technologies, I acted as the UI/UX lead developer, owning front-end architecture decisions and creating reusable component patterns that improved development speed and visual consistency across the platform. My work spanned internal tools, customer facing applications, and data-driven dashboards, and I was recognized multiple times for teamwork and project delivery excellence.

At WorldVentures Holdings, I spent nearly a decade in a hybrid creative manager / web developer role. I led a team of designers, collaborated with engineers and product owners, and contributed directly to front-end development across marketing systems, internal tools, and global web properties. This role strengthened my ability to balance design leadership, technical execution, and cross-functional communication at scale.

Green Apple Dirty
Green Apple Dirty is my freelance and consulting practice, where I provide full-lifecycle web solutions, from discovery and UX design to development, launch, and post-launch support. Through this work, I’ve delivered sites and applications using React, Vue, Angular, and WordPress, while advising clients on digital strategy, performance, and usability.

The name itself is a personal reminder to keep things simple and intentional, a principle I apply to every project, whether I’m designing a component system or helping a client clarify their online presence.

Beyond the Code
Alongside my technical career, I serve as the Director of the Dallas Mavericks Drumline, leading an ensemble of 20+ performers throughout the NBA season. It’s a role that blends precision, creativity, leadership, and coordination the same qualities that define how I approach complex software projects.

If you’re looking for a front-end engineer who can own UI delivery, collaborate across disciplines, and bring both technical rigor and creative clarity to complex systems, I’d welcome the opportunity to connect.
