WorldVentures Foundation™ is a non-profit organization whose mission is to create positive change in the lives of children all over the world. That means supporting sustainable programs that promote their health, happiness, safety and development. We accomplish our mission through four main ways: VolunTours, Volunteer Days, DreamStation, Schools for Sumba, Hug It Forward Bottle Schools, and other fundraising opportunities. Website Technical Specifications
Built on WordPress. Utilizes the premium Charitab charity theme, Ninja Forms and Slider Revolution Pro plugins. Multi-page site consisting of Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Mobile friendly design, slideshows, bios, calendar of upcoming VolunTours, blog, social media links, contact forms, and daily backups.
Story
WorldVenturesFoundation.org is a website I built and managed over the course of 10 years while working for WorldVentures. This site was fun to build and was a great organization to work with. This site allowed me to design, build out, manage, and oversee everything the organization was doing in regards to their online presence. I was the sole developer managing this project. I worked with a team of marketing co-workers and the head of the foundation to achieve the look and feel of this website. The previous iteration of this website was slow, outdated, and complicated. The upgrade to WordPress allowed the design and development to move much faster and more efficiently. The daily updates and and upgrades were also much easier to complete with the upgrade to WordPress.
